Ruin makes a home

This work is an exploration of the alchemical concept of transmutation from one substance to another and how we might integrate this philosophy into the body through performance. In this particular photo series I explore the felt experience of trauma and systems of dysregulation in the body, transmuting it into another substance, in this case light and movement. By using photography to document this performative act I seek to claim a new narrative.
